Alexandra Korba is a documentary producer who is most keenly focused on social impact-driven stories. Currently, she is co-producing a Netflix feature documentary.

Korba most recently co-produced Queen of Chess which is set to premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, and on Netflix.

Prior to that, she produced the 4-part series THE SYNANON FIX for HBO/Max. In 2023, she worked on the independent feature-length documentary film ADRIFT about the history of the global refugee system.

In the years before, she worked on the Moxie Films and Imagine Documentaries co-production, DOWNFALL: The Case Against Boeing, which premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and on Netflix shortly thereafter.

She has several independent documentary projects in development, including one she is co-directing and co-producing.

Korba is a graduate of American University’s School of International Service and School of Communication with concentrations in global conflict and film/media. She has worked as a consultant for clients at the Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Golden Globe Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. She has also worked previously at the National Geographic Channel, National Geographic Society and Paramount Pictures.

Whenever possible, she volunteers with organizations such as United Nations Women LA, Witness Change, and Las Fotos Project, a non-profit that mentors young female photographers. She is a member of Women in Film and the Documentary Producers Alliance.
